the Pathology Labs in Exeter and Bristol as well as the National Bloodbank
which is also located in Bristol). They help in urgent medical logistics,
which can make a critical difference to patient care, particularly outside
normal working hours. SWBB provide a volunteer-led lifeline behind the
scenes: swiftly moving medical items that need transporting urgently, free
of charge, outside regular hours, relying on goodwill and dedication.
They are a member of the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes (NABB),
which means they meet certain standards and can co-operate with other
regional groups (e.g. for longer relay transports) across the UK.
