naan bread. A Butter Chicken, Prawn Moilee, Tikka
Karahi and a very tasty and tender Mutton Curry were
decided upon. We
appreciated the authentic
navours and the portions were
generous and served piping
hot. Alongside we couldn9t
resist trying the Gunpowder
potatoes and Hot Green Bean
and Cashew salad from the sides menu.
Following this we were unable to manage a dessert - the offerings
include classic mango Lassi, and Gulab Jamun, which had us
Googling to ond it is an Indian version of a donut hole soaked in
syrup. We will have to sample these on another visit. The total bill for
the four of us (plus doggy bag!!) came to £123.
Tifon is open every day from 12 midday until 10pm except Sunday
and Monday. They also do a lunch menu with rice or naan based
dishes for around £10. Given its position, Tifon is a great option for a
meal before going either to the Queen9s Theatre or the Scott cinema.
Booking especially for evenings would be essential. They also offer a
take away service with cash only for delivery, though Kings Nympton
is probably a bit too far for them (especially on a bicycle!!). Another
successful trip for the secret diners (pictured below!!).
