Best thing about your job? Being a local authority maintained
school means I have the autonomy to manage the budget across
the federation and make decisions that directly innuence families.
As a federation we strongly value not only teachers, but support
staff too. The autonomy I have allows me to ensure that we have
teaching assistants in every class. This allows children to be better
supported and provides a higher quality of education.
Biggest change you have seen in the job over the years?
Education is always changing, which makes it an exciting and
interesting job. I am particularly looking forward to our schools
taking babies from 9 months which will be a great asset to our
communities.
Hobbies/Interests
I am a qualioed level 1 football coach and have been coaching my
younger sons team for over 10 years which I love. When not
coaching, I am on the sidelines watching my 2 teenage sons who
both play men9s football. That olls my Saturdays! I have a very
adorable dachshund called Archie, he takes up a lot of my time
when not working! I also love cooking.
