We always used to exchange birthday cards.
There were a couple of years where he made them himself,
which I thought was pretty good. He always used to pull
my leg about my wheelbarrows - I had ove at one time, and
they made it into the cards. The orst one was on my 74th
birthday - and it shows me with the numbers 7 and 5 in the wheelbarrow
and the caption `Pushing 759, which I thought was quite clever!
And the second one was for my actual 75th birthday. Roland used to buy
these packets of broken biscuits from Mole Valley and they'd always
come out when I had a cup of tea or coffee with him. So one year he got
me a packet for my birthday, and the card refers back to that!
