As much as we love going out and trying new restaurants sometimes it is
nice to eat at home with the luxury of someone else having done the
cooking and having minimal washing up. With this in mind, and to make a
change we decided to have a look at what is
available in the take away market. It needed
to be fairly local in order to get it home
before the food gets cold. We wanted
something different from the usual osh &
chips, curry or Chinese and discovered Jeaby
Far Thai Takeaway in South Molton. The
business is run by Khamsai Farley. Khamsai is
originally from Thailand, but has been living
in South Molton for 15 years. She started
cooking after she lost her full time job during Covid4orst for friends, but
then as a takeaway. The menu is uploaded midweek for people to order
preferably by their Facebook page or by phone on 07931449247. They
will deliver in the South Molton area or you can collect from them. The
dishes are freshly made on Fridays, Saturday and
Sunday. For the four of us we chose duck spring rolls,
veg spring rolls, osh cakes, chicken satay skewers and
pork skewers from their starter menu. From the main
selection we ordered Red
Chicken Curry, Beef and
Broccoli, Prawn Pad Thai and
Sweet and Sour Chicken along
with steamed rice, egg fried
rice and prawn fried rice and
prawn crackers. This gave us a
good selection to share
between us. The navours
were delicate, with very tender beef and big juicy
prawns. The sweet and sour chicken was delicious and
not too sweet. The quantity we ordered was just right
we had plenty to eat with very little left over. It was a
