Children across our federation have been
invited to attend the following residential
trips: Year 3 camping 3 1 night, Year 4
Escott 3 1 night, Year 5 Skern Lodge 3 2
nights, Year 6 London 3 2 nights and
Surong 1-night.
We are excited to welcome a very special
new arrival to school 4 our school dog, he
is a nearly 8-year-old Spinone x Springer Spaniel, born in Somerset. With
his sociable, docile, and patient nature,
he is a wonderful addition to our school
community. Studies have shown that
having a school dog can help develop
children9s understanding of
responsibility while cultivating empathy
and nurturing skills. School dogs also
help children build vital social
conodence and skills. We9re looking
forward to the positive impact he will
have on our school! He loves the company of people and is highly
affectionate4we9re certain the children will love having him around!
Our Stay and Play sessions are really well attended and children have
had a visit from the Animal Lady! The children were fascinated by her
creatures, including the tortoises, Timothy and Tortellini. It was a handson, educational experience that sparked curiosity and excitement for all
who attended.
We have had a family breakfast and open morning, where parents and
carers were invited to book a bacon roll or pastry and a drink. Some
joined us for celebration assembly which was a lovely chance to see how
well all our children are doing.
This term, our children have been visited by the Devon & Somerset Fire
Service, who led engaging workshops about ore safety. By a happy
coincidence, Chubb Fire Security were also on-site to complete safety
checks and took the opportunity to demonstrate how to use a ore
extinguisher on the playground. With the sun shining, the vapour created
