PRE-SCHOOL & PRIMARY SCHOOL
Dear Kings Nympton Families and Community,
Spring term has been incredibly busy in our primary school, olled with
exciting activities, learning experiences, and special events! We have
plenty to look forward to in the coming weeks as well.
We were delighted to welcome Councillor Paul Henderson to our
school recently. He was impressed with our lovely school; the extensive
opportunities we offer our children as well as our enriched curriculum.
We engaged in discussions about the unique challenges faced by a
small village primary school and he is keen to support us. Additionally,
we explored marketing strategies to strengthen and grow our Early
Years provision which is truly wonderful and we have been delighted to
welcome Toddler Group into school each month this term.
As we plan for various events such as residential trips, day trips and
welcoming visitors into school, we are mindful that these trips help
develop important life skills, build conodence, and encourage
teamwork. We know that staying away from home helps children learn
to manage themselves and their belongings which supports
independence and responsibility. Activities like orienteering, problemsolving, or group challenges improve
communication and cooperation which
helps with teamwork and social skills.
Trying new activities (e.g., climbing,
canoeing) helps children push their
boundaries and build self-belief giving
them resilience strategies. When
children learn in a new environment it
brings learning to life. Many children
remember residential trips as highlights
of their school years because they are
such memorable events. Our London trip provides experiences of
diverse communities and tradition and deepens understanding of our
capital city. These trips are a fantastic way for pupils to grow, bond with
