you'd stayed in it.
Yeah, I think I'd have gone on. (He pulls out some pictures). This is
Blenheim Palace, and we're on the Chapman Crane. This guy called
Chunky Hughes went on to become the main camera grip on quite a few
of the early Bond olms. I knew Chunky
well and I think I would gone on and
done the same sort of thing.
Do you regret you didn't go on to make
the Bond movies and all of that.
In some respects I do, but when I think
about it, the British olm industry really
went into the doldrums and there would
have been long periods when you
would have no work coming in.
And one of the sad things is Shepperton
had a vast lot, with all sorts of stuff going
on and now it really sits in an island of
houses. It's still there and they9ve built more sound stages, but I think it's
deonitely lost its magic. It was a magical place and now it sits in an island.
